Kitchenaid KDTE254ESS1 DW has error codes 5-1 and 7-1.

"Sanitized" light flashes after each cycle.

I checked heater element for continuity, seems ok at 13.6 ohms

Can door switch problem 5-1 cause heater not to run and cause the 7-1 problem?

How do I troubleshoot door switch, 5-1 problem?

Thanks

Charlie9876, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the door switch would not cause the heater to not operate unless the dishwasher would not run at all. However, the door latch WPW10653840 and high limit thermostat WPW10195091 can be tested for continuity while the power supply is turned off. If the door latch has continuity when the door is closed, and the high limit thermostat has continuity at room temperature, the main control W10866124 would be the cause of failure.
