Ok, so I came home, and I had water all over the floor. All of the ice had melted, and I noticed that the fridge was not cooling. The fan is still running. I am getting continuity to the compressor. I took out the start relay, and it was broken. I replaced the start relay and the overload, and still not cooling. I considered replacing the motor start capacitor, but I can't find the part anywhere. It is no longer being made. The compressor does try to start, but there is a loud click from the relay, and it sometimes will spark. If I leave it plugged in, the relay and compressor get very hot. Is this going to be a bad compressor?

It sounds like you've done a thorough job troubleshooting the issue with your refrigerator. Since you've already replaced the start relay and overload, and you're unable to find the motor start capacitor, it's possible that the problem lies with the compressor itself.

The symptoms you described, including the loud click from the relay, sparking, and the compressor and relay getting hot, all suggest that there might be an issue with the compressor. When a compressor struggles to start or is failing, it can cause these symptoms.

Remember to prioritize safety when dealing with electrical appliances, and if you're unsure about any aspect of the repair process, it's best to seek professional assistance. Good luck with resolving the issue!
