GE XL44 Model #JGBS20WEA422 21 years old

Tried the to start oven last week and it wouldn't come on. Tried several times that night.

Bought an igniter to install, though the current one was replaced two years ago and the original one was replaced 12 years ago.

Today, before i replaced the igniter, I turned oven on and it came on. Have tried a couple times and tested with a thermometer and seems to be working fine today.

Also, going by how various items have been cooked, it has seemed that the left side of the oven was hotter then the right side recently.

Should I still replace the igniter? Replace the sensor? or replace both? Do nothing?

Thanks,
pdl2

Oven started today but it took a long time to reach set temperature of 425. The other day I tried 350 and it seemed to work every time.

I have the igniter, but not sure if that is the problem.

Any ideas??

Thanks,
