I recently had a small fire in my GE oven. (Spectra, I believe). It was in the element and appeared to be electrical in nature. The spark/ flame did not go out until we turned to breaker off. Once the flame was out we could see the element had burned completely in half. I am wondering if it is possible to replace the element rather that buying a new oven. And more importantly, if so, is that a safe thing to do?
