My refrigerator and freezer temps fluctuate to where the ice in the door melts together and the ice cream in the freezer melts. A thermometer in the refrigerator registers temps in the range of mid-30s to mid-40s, but at times will not cool back down. A hard reset (unplugged for 10-15 minutes) fixed it the first time but subsequent times it has taken five or more resets before control was reestablished. Internet research indicates possible causes are the damper assembly or main control board, but I have been unable to find a definitive troubleshooting procedure, and am reluctant to call a technician just to have them either say they can find no malfunction or make their own best guess. Is there anything I can do to further isolate a malfunctioning component?
