I have a two year old LG LDT7808BD dishwasher and it's able to run wash cycles, but if I run a cycle with drying enabled it ends with an HE error code. LG says the code means it's unable to heat the water, or the water is overheated (149F). From what I understand, this dishwasher uses "hybrid drying", which means the rinse cycle is with the hottest water, then it runs a fan and the cooler stainless steel walls condense the water vapor.

So does that mean there's a water heater in there somewhere that's failing? Or does it just use full-strength hot water from the tap? My tap hot water comes out at about 130F. I don't remember seeing anything in the installation instructions regarding input water temperature requirements. Also, LG has a "tE" error code for "Water temperature sensor error" separately.

I'm having a hell-of-a time finding the replacement parts related to heating/drying, besides the fan. I'm pretty sure I hear the fan come on when it tries to do the drying cycle. Anyone have any suggestions?
