Off the wall topic: We're in California and in case of an earthquake, I set up an external generator to run the fridge, furnace, notebook, router and cable model, and a few lights.
Some research says when the fridge cycles on, it will stall the generator -- and wondering if I need to invest in a soft start device.
The question: The fridge motor that cycles on, the one that spikes and potentially dims the lights, is what? The condenser fan motor --or something else?
fridge model: TBX23ZH-B Condenser Fan Motor - 115V (WR60X187)
