This is from the Jenn Air range manual...

To set Drying:
1. The oven door needs to be opened slightly to allow moisture to escape from the oven during the drying process.
• Open the oven door slightly.
• Place the magnetic door spacer (Part No. 8010P146-60) over the
plunger switch at the upper right side of the oven frame. The spacer
provides a gap between the oven frame and the oven door to allow
moisture to escape.
• Gently close the door until the spacer magnet makes contact with the oven door. The magnet will hold the spacer in the proper position during the drying process and allows the door to be opened at any time during
drying without losing proper positioning.

Hi, thanks for posting your question. We had the very same cylinder in a drawer and couldn't remember where it came from, but your question told us it must have come with our Jenn-air, installed 3 years ago.

So we went to the Use and Care Guide for our downdraft slide-in range (and oven). It shows that cylinder as being the "magnetic door spacer" for "some models" where you could use a drying rack to dry food in the oven. The spacer goes over the plunger on the door and provides a gap between the oven frame and oven door to allow moisture to escape. The guide says it is Part Number 8010P146-60.

Its a spacer to hold the oven door ajar while you are in Drying Mode.
