The fan in the freezer is pulsing on /off after it reaches desired temp in freezer side an refrigerator side. What could cause this?? Do I unblug the refrigerator or let it run until I can get it checked out?

I defrosted the evaporator coils, checked the fan it seems to be working properly but haven't put a meter on it. Any help would be great.
