Hi all

Those that still might be familiar with the old Maytag Suds Saving washing machines, I have my mother's from likely '92. My question is this:

When returning the water back to the tub, the return is very, very slow. It seems like there might be enough sucking power, but obviously not enough as it takes forever to return the water. After talking to a parts dealer, he thought perhaps the solenoid was bad. Though that does not make sense as it IS returning the water to the tub but at a snails pace. Any thoughts on what might be going on?

Thank you so much in advance. I know there are few that know about this machine, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

could be either the diverter valve or the pump.
