My Maytag washer is stuck in Sensing mode. It will lock the lid, then a LOUD click, spin, then stop, and repeat. After a minute or so, it will drain the tiny bit of water that went in, and says the cycle is complete.

I've tried resetting, by unplugging for one minute. Also read to turn the water off, unplug for a minute, then turn the water back on.

I cleaned that water inlet filters, and also checked that the pressure is good.

Unsure how to run diagnostics. But this washer just ran 2 or 3 loads, and then started doing this.

Had a similar issue with my Maytag MVW7232HW0. The so-called "Smart Washer". I managed to fix the issue with my machine. If you have a "Smart Wahser," you might try this. I reconnected the washer to the WIFI and updated the software. Ran a load on Delicate, and the cycle completed as it should. I then ran a moderately sized load on Regular, and the cycle completed as it should.
