My 25+ Year old Maytag LAT7304AAE squeals when spinning. I Changed the tub bearing sleeve kit and the tub seal kit. That stopped it for about 5 loads. then I changed the belts. that didn't really help. Then I changed the transmission shaft bearing and adjusted the pump to get the proper belt tension. That worked for a while. The noise is back on spin cycles. If I open the lid the drum stops and the squeal stops with a pronounced Squeak. What next? A new tub? or a new washer?

I wonder if your brake is not releasing and dragging producing the noise? It's been a log time, but I seem to remember something about spraying WD40 into the brake to help. Or just changing the brake out. https://www.appliancepar...6-2011900-ap6009843.html
