I have a GE Spacemaker electric washer dryer model GUD27ESSJ1WW

The dryer stops mid cycle particularly with larger loads. It will not start again until it cools down. When it works it heats, runs, sounds and drys normally. The lint trap is clean and the vent is clear.

Does anyone know if this a common problem? I would like to get advice on what parts or procedures to check.
