The compressor and fan never shut off, except for the defrost cycle, which is about every eight hours. The freezer is about 20 degrees set on the lowest setting. The refrigerator is about 35 degrees set on the middle setting. The condenser coils are clean. The evaporater coils are free from any "snow" or ice, except for some "snow" around the defrost thermomater which is fastend to the tube for the coils. Any idea's why the freezer can't get colder and always is running? Thanks, Pat

Thank You Gene, I appreciate your Help. I will call a Repairman to look at it. I think I checked everything I could with the help of this Forum, everything else appears to be working O.K. Thanks again.
Gene, one other thought. I was got this used, and it's been running for about 10 days. The freezer is empty, I've been waiting to see how it works before I put food in. Would this have any effect? Maybe it needs froozen food to help maintain the Temp? Also If I turn the Temp control to a lower (warmer) setting, it stills runs constantly.

It does not need any frozen food to maintain the proper temperature. There is a problem with the refrigerator.
Gene.
