Hey Gene, If you are replying to the post by "guest" at Location: 99556, its some sort of bot that steals posts from other forums and posts them here. Very strange. Who makes this stuff? I can't figure out what the point is. I just ignore the posts that say ghost now.

The solution was quite simple and required no dis-assembly (Although I found solution after dis-assembly.)
Problem is that Self cleaning oven lock is partially engaged.
To reset and fix: 1. Pull out on latching mechanism/hook under control panel. 2. Move to your right until interior light turns off. (simulates door closed) 3. Press Self clean button and let lock fully engage. 4. Press cancel to stop Self clean. 5. Close door
Hope this helps someone.

Thank YOU So Much this definitely worked & saved us a lot of $ and time!!! For others that may be looking what this problem also does is that it will not engage your burners in the oven to light as it is sensing the door is open

I had the same problem, we just bought whirlpool model # WGE745C0FS05 double oven on 3/2024. Both upper and lower oven lights were ON all the time. I was reading all the comments on the net, then someone said make sure both oven doors are snug tight and closed. I simply let doors close/slam with spring loaded mechanism on its own force. That fixed the problem. Looks like lock latches were not engaging properly, sending signal to oven light switches that door is still open. So it fixed the issue. Make sure oven doors are shut closed snugly. Hope this will help. C. M. Silver Spring, MD
