First, the water dispenser was having a dripping problem. We were planning to fix it, but we went on vacation during Christmas. A few days after we came back, the black hose that feeds water to the ice maker was broken (it seems like it froze), and frozen water was all over the freezer. We turn off the ice maker switch.

I ordered a new hose and a new inlet water valve (the one with the two solenoids). I replaced the valve, and the dripping problem got resolved. Now the water dispenser is working fine without leaking.

However, there is no ice coming from the machine (or forming inside). I blew air through the hose with my mouth to make sure that the water was not frozen, and it did not seem to be frozen since the air came out from the black hose that fed the ice maker.

How do I know if the ice maker is the problem? Is there a way to test it before I order the part?
