The control panel on my Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher will not respond. The "Sani Rinse" light just flashes. If I reset the power and toggle randomly through different buttons I can sometimes get it to work again.
Does anyone know the proper reset sequence for this unit??? The only sequence I can find for Kenmore is to toggle between "Hi Temp" and "Heated Dry" but my unit does not have those buttons.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since Sears keep this info a guarded secret.

You can find this sequence in the tech sheets which should be behind the toe panel. According to your description on the problem looks like the pad on the key panel is stuck. The correction in such situation is to replace the console. If you need the correct part number then post the color of the console.

Pete, The part number for the black console is AP3097088. You can talk to the APP team for ETA on the part. Gene.

Now I am mystified…….. The new control panel arrived after being on backorder for a couple weeks. In the mean time I had shut off the circuit breaker since we couldn’t use the dishwasher and I was tired of looking at the flashing error display. Before I go to install the new panel I turned on the breaker temporally to confirm the error display. That way I would know for sure if it did the exact same thing with the new control panel that the problem was elsewhere. Well when I turned on the breaker and ALL WAS AOK……. No error and all functions worked fine. We have run it through about 6-8 cleaning cycles over the past few days and it runs perfect???? This is really strange because I tried resetting the breaker multiple times when this problem first occurred with no results. I only shut if off for a few minutes instead of a week, but still????? So now I don’t know what to do. I have 30 days to return the part but is this going to happen again? I do not want to install the part if everything is AOK as it is a $175 part.

The chance is 50/50. I would wait till last day before return the part.
