The dryer turns on and then turn itself off after a few minutes it turns back on again and than off

Well, that's just not right.

It is very difficult for these machines to turn themselves on after they have turned off, but obviously not impossible since yours is doing it.

My suggestion is to replace the start switch, cannot guarantee a fix but it sure seems logical. Here is the part.

My whirlpool LER7646EQ2 turns on randomly by itself…
Is this start switch what I should replace?
