my moms fridge has been off two or three times in the morning. on those mornings 3 different plugs have gfci tripped. as soon as its reset fridge works fine.
have had an electrician look at it twice. changed a couple plugs but said breakers & box fine.

any ideas?

Get a GFCI that sounds an alarm when it trips. Consider that the ground fault is intermittent and only happens when the door is opening or closing or some function activates. I have similar problem identified as damaged wiring near where freezer door hinge is.
