I have a Maytag MAVT634AWW (Atlantis series) washer that has a noise down low presumably in the belt/transmission area when it spins the drum. It sounds like a bearing but I am not sure. It works fine mechanically but I want to fix this noise as I'm sure it's something about to go out that will do so in a short amount of time.

I've watched numerous videos and suspect either the lower bearing needs to be replaced or it needs a thrust bearing kit. I don't want to buy parts I don't need but wonder if you have any experience working on these and if you have experienced a similar issue or noise?

Before I buy parts I don't know if I need or not I guess I will have to tear it down to see.

Thanks for any advice or stories of your experience on this washer model.
