Model fex831fs1, stackable washer and dryer. dryer turns on and runs fine for 30 to 35 seconds then heating element turns off and does not come back on. dryer works fine otherwise. i have replaced the two thermostats. one is located in dryer venting and other one is on top corner back panel. I checked continuity and thought both went to zero, but my electrical tester does not go small enough on reading. thermal fuse on top is a possibility after reading some forum. I did check the switch and it is ok. I'm wondering if the thermal fuse located on top by one thermostat could be bad? can a defective thermal fuse or limiter actually work again after it is not working prior. I thought if it acts like a fuse, that it is a "one time use" part?
the heating element will turn back on again after sitting for a few minutes to possibly cool off? but the heating elements will only work for 30 to 35 seconds again (same time as prior time lapse of working) any help is appreciated. i have not checked continuity on heating elements, but they are not broken and they heat up just fine when they are working.
