The control panel will start flashing with the set temps and the interior of the fresh section and the freezer will warm up to room temperature. It will stay that way for a varying amount of time until the control panel will go back to normal and the interior will cool to preset temperatures including the making of ice. It will cycle until 14 to 24 hours later when the whole thing starts again. Unplugging the refrigerator will sometimes interrupt the cycle but not for more than a few hours.

I am of the thought that the main processor is going if not gone and I would rather replace the whole door with the 'brain' in it than to buy another $4000.00 appliance since we need the 28 cu.ft. size for the family. Any expert help would be appreciated.

I'm not real up to date on GE appliances, but I would pull out the refrig. and do a visual inspection of boards 154 and 155. Look for burnt spots, bad capacitors, or discolored wires. Bad caps often bulge or leak and can cause all kinds of problems. https://www.appliancepar...-for-ge-pfss9pkybss.html

I stumbled across this service manual. It might be helpful. They were having almost the same problems and they changed out the inverter board, but yours could be different. https://drive.google.com...R4py-W2DHziRZzVUYh0/view
