Hello, I have a 10-year-old Kitchenaid side by side KSBS25IVSS00. It started cycling off then quickly back on making a "chirping" noise. I cleaned the front and back coils which were not bad. When the refrigerator cycles off it also cut off the fan. But cycles back on before it can stop. This happens about every 5 minutes or so. When it goes off the inside light and led dials stay on.

The unit cools perfectly. zero degree freezer and 37 degree refrigerator.

Now here is the kicker! If I take the back panel off it stops doing it!!! So you would say..just leave it off, but everything I read says to keep it on.

I do not want to replace the inverter as expensive and may be fine. The inverter is an Embraco VCC3 1156 19 A 52

Any help would be very much appreciated.
