Hi Alll,
I have an old sidebyside Jazz ctrl board frost free fridge freezer. A year ago it started acting up such that the fridge would be too cold. I discovered the damper door frozen and checked the defrost system and compresser worked, ended up replacing the Jazz ctrl board and for 14 months it worked like new. Just about a month ago same symptoms - so I bought a new board - dissapointed that the old one seemed to fail just out of warrenty. I have installed the new board, however, the damper has been freezing open again and freezing the fridge. I have checked the defrost cct and thermister - both appear to work. All fans work, the thermistors pass their service checks although I haven't check their resistnce in temp accurate. The damper door opens and closes when unfrozen.
The software version is reported as 14 and I think the original may have been 24? nor sure.
Could I have gotten a dud board?
I thawed out the freezer and will let it run for a while to see if it happens again but would appreciate any further suggestions as to what to do next if it does freeze open again.
Thanks in advance

Swingbyte.
