The clock display on my range is acting strange. The display will go off, and pressing the clock button will bring it back, along with a "start?" prompt. Then after a couple of minutes, the display will go out again. Hitting the start button also shuts off the display. I thought one of the function buttons were stuck on, but have determined that is not the case. Hitting the cancel button turns off the display, and hitting the clock button brings the clock display back up, and the time is always correct, but then the "start?" prompt comes back, and after a couple of minutes the display goes out again. I have tried cycling power a couple of times, but it did not help. All other functions are working correctly.

Press and hold the Clock button for 5 seconds. If it would not help then the control board most likely has gone bad.

- The part number for the control board is AP3837679

That seemed to take care of it. Thank you very much for your help.

You are welcome. I'm glad it was that simple.

This also just worked for my GMC305PDQ2 oven/microwave combo that had developed the same annoying problem. Thank you Gene from 12 years ago!
