Hi,

I pulled my transmission out, opened it up, drained the oil, and cleaned everything up. I noticed on the upper housing the metal was scored from the nylon gear. The retainer was attached when I disassembled, so the gear should have stayed in place. I was planning to attach a picture, where you can see the scoring but not finding an option for that. Can anyone point me to what caused this failure? Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks.
