I have a Hardwick gas oven with a 120 volt stove eye igniter and oven/broiler igniter circuit. The electrical plug was left plugged in during a thunderstorm and the oven's electrical circuit was struck by lightning. It was plugged into a GFCI circuit on the wall. When I first found this circuit had tripped at the receptacle, I unplugged everything one at the time and tried resetting the outlet. When I unplugged the oven, the outlet would remain reset. This tells me that something in the oven's electrical circuit is shorted. Can anyone provide me with any help trouble shooting to find what component in the oven is shorted so that I am able to use my stove eye, oven and broiler igniters again? Thank you very much!
