Greetings!

When we moved into our new home, we were pleased to find a Jenn Air Oven/Range, even though it's an older model, S160. The stove uses two A100 dual electric coil range cartridges, that are easy to remove for cleaning and maintenance. However, I know that Jenn Air has made newer radiant cartridges, such as the A122, that are flat cook-tops with internal heater elements for even easier cleaning. I know the A122s are the same size as the A100s and the cartridge plugs will fit; Can someone tell me if the newer A122 cook-top cartridges will WORK on an older range like the S160? I heard from a local handyman that they are interchangeable, but one must change the wiring configuration on the cartridge plug (I don't know if that's true). Is there an electrical tabletop test to check if a used radiant cartridge should operate correctly?

Many thanks, and stay safe!
