I have a Whirlpool Duet wfw95hexw0, that recently started displaying error codes F6 E1 and F6 E2. From everywhere I've read, it's the MCU. I pulled the MCU and looked on the back of the circuit board and sure enough there were a couple of blackened components.

My question is, is there a way to tell if another component pulled too much current and caused those components on the MCU to burn out? I hate to spend $200 to get the MCU repaired (or $300+ for a new one) only to install it and have it burn out again.

Thanks,
Jason
