I have an old Thermador DP366CS/03. The oven suddenly stopped working. The preheat and heat lights flashed 2-1 which I see in the service manual is error code E5 Potentiometer failure. I’m wondering how complicated the fix is. Is it has simple as replacing one part? (If so, what part number?) Or is this a multi-part repair with testing of other parts, etc.?

My husband is pretty handy and we’ve successfully replaced parts to get burners operational on this range before. But if this is really complicated, we would probably be better off calling a repairman. And this is so old I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth it!

For what it’s worth, I tried a reset by turning the circuit breaker off for 5 minutes. Now nothing - flashing lights are no longer happening.
