I just replaced the original motor in my washer due to the motor being defective. It had begun smoking with loud humming and stopped running. I ordered and installed a replacement motor kit WH49X10035, which included a new wiring harness, relay, and capacitor. The new motor will only operate when the belt is not connected. Even when loosely connected, the motor will not turn. I double-checked my connections, the lid switch, substituted a new capacitor, and still get the same results. The transmission pulley seems to be okay as it does turn by hand. Do you think the new motor is faulty?
