I have a GE Front Load Washer Model WBVH5200J3WW. I replaced the control board because the buttons had started going wacky, like changing to CLEAN from WASH when pressing the start button or changing the spin speed when trying to change the water temp. After replacing, the buttons worked great! But, thw washer would lock, unlock, lock again, run some water, spin partially each direction and stop then unlock. I bought it off Ebay so I thought it might have been defective, so I put the old control board back on and could get the wash cycle to run (once I got the machine to stay on WASH not CLEAN). Returned that board and ordered another one from a different source and installed it today. Same results. I put the new one through the tests on test mode and all things seemed to function. It gave me an error code of E39. What am I missing? Why does the wanky-button control board work, but the new one won't?
