I have a 20 year old Maytag dryer. For quite a few years now, I've replaced the wheels on it. For some reason, one of them does not roll as smoothly as the other. I can spin the one and it will rotate a couple of times. But the other will rotate about halfway. It's not tight. It just doesn't seem as free. I've replaced the whole unit when it goes bad, so I can't figure out what exactly is bad about this. Bent metal bracket? I just replaced them recently and within a couple of days it started making noise. The last set lasted about two years. But I think this is making them go quicker.
