I have a Frigidaire range and took the back off to look for reasons why the display (and consequently the oven) was not working. Couldn't find any problems and was about to order an electronic oven control board. I decided to take the rest of the back off and follow the wires down to see if there was any burned wire that might be causing that issue. Did not find one there. However, I did see that the yellow wire attached to one side of the baking element is burned a decent bit where it is crimped on to the terminal connecting to the element.

My question is, do I just need to cut the burned part off (I have plenty to work with) and recrimp the terminal on? Or, is this indicative of an element going bad?

Thanks!
