Hi all, I'm troubleshooting my JVM1440WD003 over range GE microwave that's having the issue where it appears to be running normal but it's not heating anything. I gambled and replaced the diode. No joy there. Next, I tested the door switches all had proper continuity. Capacitor is reading 0.90 uF. I took the unit down and got the cover off. The magnetron is reading 0.20 ohms. The transformer is reading 0.40 ohms. Now I'm looking at the three thermal switches and I'm confused by what their continuity at room temperature should be. https://www.appliancepar...for-ge-jvm1440wd003.htmlIf you look at the parts diagram, #74 is the one on the magnetron. It reads 0.10 ohms. #77 is the horizontal one on the "floor" just below the control board. It reads 0.10 ohms. #27 is the vertical one behind the control board that actually mounts to the shield that covers the transformer/magnetron compartment. That one is open. I think that one of the participants in another thread said that one of these is open at room temperature and closes at 158 degrees. I tried warming #27 up to roughly 160 degrees and no change. Still open. So, would someone mind helping me out with these thermal switches? Thank you. Dave Edited by user Monday, April 13, 2020 11:38:10 AM(UTC)
