It's difficult to close the freezer door gently enough that the refrigerator door doesn't open. If I just let the freezer door's magnet pull the door closed, the refrigerator door opens (whether the doors shelves are empty or heavily loaded).

I need to resist the pull of the magnet and only let go of the freezer door when it's less than a quarter-inch from being completely closed (if I want the refrigerator door to stay closed). Maybe the refrigerator door's magnet isn't strong enough.

It's brand new, and this doesn't seem right. Frigidaire said that they'll send someone out someday when it's safe, but since I'm old and immunocompromised, that could mean living with this for 12 to 18 months until there's a vaccine.
