Today, my wife turned on out JENN AIR Model# JES8750AAB electric oven and heard a "pop"! She preheated the oven and placed a cookie sheet with parchment paper inside. Within a short period of time she noticed the parchment paper was brown and nearly burning. We found the oven top electric burners were working properly and the top and bottom heating elements inside the oven were working. However, when setting the oven at 350 degrees, the oven would heat up but the top broiler element stayed on causing the oven to get too hot.
Could this be the internal oven temperature sensor?
