My Samsung DV448AEP/XAA stopped working. It allowed you to select a cycle, but when you pressed start the drum wouldn't spin. The cycle was in "Drying" for a couple minutes then dropped to cooling, then dropped to wrinkle prevent. All in about the course of 4 minutes.

Another forum suggested the problem was the thermostat and thermistor. I figured while I had the dryer open I'd replace the heating element too. As I was disassembling the dryer I noticed the belt was broken too. So I replaced the belt, the heating element, DC47-00016A, DC47-00018A, and DC3200007A. I also purchased a thermal fuse but did not replace that because I noticed I purchased DC96-00887A instead of DC96-00887C and I wasn't sure if they were compatible. I put it all back together and nothing changed, still doesn't spin, still goes through the cycle, etc.

What else could be wrong? Are any of those electrical parts directional, like could I have wired them up backwards? How do I tell if those electrical parts or actually good or bad in the first place? Is there a way for me to tell if the motor is bad? Why would I not have received any errors?
