Washer will only function in spin cycle.
Replaced timer and results are the same.
Timer works and will stop after spin cycle is complete.
Spin cycle stops when top is lifted and starts against
when top is lowered.

I'm in the same boat. Thus far I have replaced the timer, fill valve, lid switch and cherry switch to no avail.
Next step is to replace the water level valve. This is the last water related part available to replace.

Just hoping that this will do the trick
