Just installed new LG DLGX4371 gas dryer. When the burner turns on it has a loud roar, I can see a yellow flame in the viewing port, and it is cycling on and off every minute. I think there is something wrong with the combustion chamber, maybe the air/fuel ratio is off. I am getting the unit exchanged. LG is telling me that it is normal to hear a loud roaring sound from the dryer. My previous dryer didn’t make this noise. I’m not sure what is different in the high efficiency machines. Is a gas dryer significantly noiser than an electric dryer and is it normal to hear the gas burner go on and off every minute during the drying cycle? The unit is in my living space so if this is normal I’ll have to switch to an electric dryer. Thank you.
