New GE model GLWN2800D2WS only filled tub 1/3 with water. The tub lowered to 1/4 inch, or so, from the bottom of the housing (casing). When the agitation started, the pulley was rubbing on the bottom. Metal filings everywhere. Unbelievable noise. Drained the water, and the tub raised, allowing a perfect spin cycle. Question: Are the spring rods, one on each corner, adjustable, allowing for more weight on tub without the lowering effect???
