I am a homeowner - bought an older home with an old built-in Kitchenaid fridge model KSSS36QDX00 (mid-1980s I believe) that runs like a champ but needed ice/water handling parts replaced. I have replaced the ice maker, pulled apart the dispensing assembly in the ice bin and put it back together. Last step is to get the ice dispenser door to shut when not dispensing. I have the part - the delay mechanism - but the exploded parts illustration does not help with installing it as was true for the dispenser/crusher. Can anyone help or point me toward documentation/directions? I have looked for a repair manual/service manual/technical info manual for this model - no luck. Hoping I was just not looking in the right place. Thank you in advance.
