Inside water dispenser will not shut off. Initially it appears to work properly, however when you remove the container from the water dispenser it continues to flow at the same rate. I have stopped the flow by gently tapping the inside of the refrigerator above the water dispenser, so the issue maybe a stuck switch or a bad contact. I haven't taken it apart yet, but was looking for some insight on the potential problem.

By the way, does the water dispenser cover pop off easily?

I had the same problem this morning with my Avalon A6BLWTRCLRBLK not shutting off.
I thought it was the switch because I had changed the valve not too long ago.

I shut the power (I had shut the water supply off before) took the front panel for the water/ice dispender on the freezer door off (you can just use a knief/screw driver to pry it off carefully) You will seeTwo screws attaching the metal plate and the switch to the door. You take the screw off and you can access the switch. (where the handle of the dispenser makes the connection)
I lubricated the switch.
Put it all back
Now it is working great.
