Your help is appreciated with reference to this problem.

I believe that I have a clogged tube and as a result we get water on the top tray (on the left) of the refriegerator.

Do you believe this is the problem based on the symptom. We have not noticed anything else happening. The door stays tightly closed when shut and everything else seems to be operating fine.

If the tube is clogged how do we unclog it? Also how do we neutralize the capacitor and all potential electrocution/shock problems before we begin working on the refrigerator? I use to work on cars during the 70s but have no knowledge about refrigerators.

Thanks! Joe Josh

I was checking the model # and it looks like, that fridge has the drain line inside the cabinet. This models drain is hard to clean. the first thing is to start in the freezer. Remove the bottom plastic section of the freezer, more then likely there is alot of ice.Clear the ice, you may have to take the back section off also. Under the evaporator coil will be the drain trough there will be a hole in the center, clear this and try blowing air down the hole then pour warm water down the drain to see if it,s clear the water should go down to the drain pan in the back of the fridge by the compressor. If clear put all parts back. Now to discharge a capacitor cross a screw driver across the terminals holding the handle of the screw driver[there should be no reason to do this cleaning a defrost drain.]
