I replaced the chopper on my washer after reading about the inconsistent wash/cleaning being a symptom of that part.

During the stage where you remove the chopper, I noticed there was water sitting in that low area of the washer. I also found some broken glass debris.

After searching about "water not draining properly" I found that the pump could be the symptom.

My first question is: If there is water sitting only in the Chopper area, is that enough water to indicate the pump is compromised? Or would there have to be water still in the upper portion - in the washer itself - to warrant a pump replacement?

Also, I recorded the sound of my washer with the new Chopper installed. Can't tell if he washer is sounding differently. Everything was reinstalled properly - I checked the Chopper's placement thoroughly. I just thought the recording might shed light on other mechanical issues/symptoms.
