I appreciate any info. you can provide. The ice maker stopped making ice despite the filter being fine and water dispenses as usual. I am unsure if I risk purchasing an inlet valve (can't return if it doesn't solve problem) or jshould I just purchase a new ice maker. Thanks for your thoughts,

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear. Or test your valve using these instructions.
