My sears whirlpool model 106.50592000 mfg in 2000 side-by-side refridge icemaker wont stop making ice. It has the optical shut off not the wire bar. When I slide the manual shutoff switch that blocks the infared signal to the receiver it doesnt stop the icemaker as it has in the past. I normally keep the manual switch closed as I dont use that much ice and dont want to make more than a half bucket at any time. Anyone know what component is at fault and what I need to replace? Thanks

Its most likely this set of boards. They are supposed to sense the ice level and shut off the ice maker.

Or check Epay or Amazon. Prices are all over the place. part w10757851
