This problem has been addressed on this site. My question is not how to alleviate the problem. I know how to do this thanks to people on this site. My question is WHAT CAUSES THIS TO HAPPEN? I have a home warranty that covers my fridge but they say the hole and tube are not covered. I tried to no avail to tell them the hole and drain tube are not the problem. The problem is the part of the fridge that is not functioning properly which is causing the water to freeze and clog the hole and tube. The hole and tube being frozen is the result of something else malfunctioning. I've had servicemen from 2 different companies come and all they could do was defrost the ice in the hole etc ( which is what I have been doing ). So my home warranty company wants me to find out what "part" is not functioning to cause this problem because the men that came here did not know. Thanks for any help.
