Moved the dryer to new location - now on the floor vs. stacked. When dryer is running, the back 6 inches of the top of the lid gets very hot, as well as part of the back panel. Seems to be drying okay, although I haven't let it run all the way through because it is so hot. Have cleaned out the vent on the back of the dryer, as well as what I can get to in the wall. The vent (unfortunately) goes up through the roof, and I've not been able to get up to the top yet!

Appreciate any advice!

I'd bet the vent is partially plugged on the roof or in between.
