I was having problems getting the door to latch last evening and ended up doing something to the latch in the door.
I was poking around the latch in the door to see if it was stuck/how it worked ... well, I ended up "toggling" it so that it appears to be in the position it is in when it is latched. The plastic "latch" piece just kind of rotated/flipped into a different position and now the "latch"s underside appears to be what is facing the "latch" opening ...
Cannot figure out how to "unlatch" it ... there is not a "handle" that is used. This model only requires a push/pull to close/open.
So now the door won't latch ... I did manage to run it last night with only minimal splatter, but obviously this won't work ... any ideas?
(I believe the original issue is resolved (top basket "water-wheel" connector wasn't aligned to it's connector on the back of the tub correctly, so it appears the basket was not in all the way. I can't verify due to the current latch issue ...)

sounds like latch is broken.. not uncommon as they are mostly plastic .. if the unit is < 1 year , parts and labor are covered under warranty , call an authorized bosch service center.. ( parts are covered for two years )

I was able to fix the problem by removing the door panel, control panel cover and then removing the door latch component from it's housing. There was a spring that needed to be compressed so I could flip the latch back to it's proper position.
As I (tried to) describe before, I had essentially "flipped" (rotated about 1/3 of a turn) the latch to a point where it was stuck and blocking the insertion of the clip (from the main unit.)
Anyways, it wasn't very tricky ... just went slow and documented the connections along the way.
